Water

Luis said today that "Viva es agua." If life is water, then why is it okay for people to not have access to potable water? How is it okay for companies like Coca Cola to make millions of dollars off people who make very little to no money and are unable to drink from their faucets. Something is seriously wrong with the world when we are denying people one of the most basic human rights.

It reminds me of the documentary "Flow." It is about the privatization of water around the world. I highly recommend it.

I think that Americans take it for granted that we can turn on the faucet and have water readily available. This is not something we should ever take for granted, and it is something that all humans should have access to. Remember that the next time you let the water run while you are brushing your teeth or waiting for the temperature to change.

According to many, wars will be soon fought over this precious life-source. Control the water and you control life. (Kind of like on Arrakis: control the spice and you control the universe)

Potable water is disappearing, so is clean air and safe land for planting. Big business is killing everything.
